Meeting between friends, young and old from the neighborhood (Lakou Tiofa, Lathan) to open a bottle of champagne in the name of Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space, and to watch together with the film “Youri Gagarin” released in September 2020. We appreciate innovations!

Société Haitienne d'Astronomie
The Haitian Society of Astronomy ("Société Haitienne d'Astronomie, SHA") is an association of amateur astronomers to stimulate and guide our young people towards science in general and towards astronomy in particular. We try to structure a community by establishing strategic plans, feasible projects, and suitable activities. The association is currently headed by a professional astronomer and we follow the directives of the International Astronomical Union Office for Astronomy Outreach- (IAU-OAO).
We, Haitians, are aware of the Human Space Adventure, and we need to celebrate Human space innovation as well. When it's possible, we organized such celebrations as Yuri's Night Haiti.
